A treasure hunt on skis – this is “Snow Hunting”, about to be held for the third year running. Last year’s hunt was held with great success at St Moritz, and it wasn’t only teenagers who gave the idea their enthusiastic support. This year the event will be held at Madonna di Campiglio in Trentino, on 25 and 26 February, and is being organised in the marvellous setting of the Dolomites by Water Tribe. The formula is the same as before, with teams competing on the snow. More than 30 teams of skiers and snowboarders are expected to participate, to see who will be the quickest to find the mysterious treasure.

It’s easy to take part – you don’t have to be expert skiers or snowboarders. The tests are designed to exploit the sense of direction, inventiveness and imagination of the contestants.

Entries are accepted from teams (6 members) or individuals. In the latter case, Water Tribe will make up teams on the basis of age group, and will if necessary include a “guide” who knows the area well.

The entry fee is 125 euros per person for already formed groups; this includes uniforms, lunch, mulled wine and dinner at the BOCH refuge, which will be the base for the competition – accessible by snowcat).
